WWE NXT 7.10.19

Io Shirai comes out to start the show. She has a new entrance and is wearing all black. And boy does she look good. Io says she doesn’t need any friends. And she doesn’t need any of you. She promptly leaves the ring and that’s it. Good. You don’t need to do anything else with that.

Velveteen Dream “press conference.” Someone asks Dream who he will fight next and the Dream says he didn’t approve that question. Queen Cathy asks about Roderick Strong. The Dream says he isn’t worthy enough to fight him one on one. And that’s enough questions the Dream says as he walks off.

Damian Priest vs Blanco Loco

Loco is a white guy from Mexico, NY. What sick joke is this? Priest is going to need to change his entrance because I get major Baron Corbin vibes from it. And I like Priest. Total squash match. Loco got zero offense. Priest needs a better finisher too. For a guy his size a spinning cutter doesn’t look great.

Jordan Myles vs BOA

This is another match in the Breakout Tournament. BOA has apparently been at the Performance Center since September 2016. Hey, the Bills still had a Playoff drought back then! Another match in this tournament that starts with headlocks and wristlocks. Myles ducks a kick and does a double back flip into a dropkick. Myles goes right back to a double wristlock. BOA finally escapes and hits a kick to the chest. I guess BOA’s thing is kicks, as he keeps landing them. Myles starts fighting back with kicks of his own. Myles also finally gets the crowd back into it with his comeback. Myles wins it with a 450 splash.

WINNER: Jordan Myles- Probably the weakest match of the three tournament matches so far. It was a basic wrestling school match until the end.

Shayna Baszler says she isn’t worried about Mia Yim.

Keith Lee hype video.

William Regal says next week Apollo Crews will face Kushida.

NXT Tag Team Championship: The Street Profits (c) vs Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan

The Street Profits entrance is awesome. I can’t wait to see how it gets messed up on the main roster. The Street Profits hit double flapjacks. Dawkins goes for a friendly handshake after but Danny Burch kicks him instead. Burch and Lorcan start working over Dawkins. Burch applies a tight crossface but Ford breaks it with a kick. Ford gets the hot tag and delivers some dropkicks and backdrops. The Profits hit a couple spinning splashes in the corner then a Slice Bread #2. Lorcan pushes Ford into the corner, knocking Dawkins off. All four men end up in the ring and delivering shots, then they all end up on their back. Ford ends up charging at Lorcan but Lorcan ducks and Ford takes out Burch. Lorcan goes for a dive but eats a punch from Dawkins. Dawkins hits a Spinebuster then Ford hits a frog splash for the win.

WINNERS and STILL NXT Tag Team Champions: Street Profits- Match was fine for what it was. Not a standout match or anything but I good showcase for the Street Profits.

After the match, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish come out on the stage to stare down the Street Profits.

Until Next Time,
